Basics: How does the system work?

Modified on Thu, 21 Sep 2023 at 02:52 PM

The system generates a code for each booking.

This means that the guest receives a unique code that only works while they stay at your property. You can adjust the access settings and give the guest access to multiple doors. For example: Front door, back door and their own room.

These settings are adjusted in the Remotelock extra-net.

How does all of this work?

Once a booking is created Godo gives the booking a reference number along with the arrival date and checkout date. That info is sent over to the Remotelock extra-net. They process the booking and create a code using the last 4 digits of the reference number. The code will be the last 4 digits of the reference number. Remotelock doesn't generate the code until 3 days prior to arrival, due to security reasons.

This means that when a booking is made, Godo sends the information over and Remotelock creates the code and when it will be activated.

Code get created 3 days prior to arrival

To make sure everything is secure the code will be generated 3 days before arrival. Once that happens you can see it in Godo when you click on the booking and the info tab.

In this screenshot you can see the last 4 digits in the reference number and the code match.
