DK - How to create an invoice?

Modified on Thu, 15 Aug at 3:38 PM

When an invoice is created in Godo, it will simultaneously be generated in DK. The invoice number from DK is then stored in Godo. Additionally, the booking number and other information, such as the voucher number, are included on the invoice in DK. This way, lookups between the systems are particularly convenient.

In Godo, a customer is selected to whom the invoice is sent. It is also possible to choose, for example, which currency should appear on the invoice. If the invoice is incorrect, it is easy to credit it in Godo, and then the older invoice will automatically be credited in DK.

To enable this functionality, the accounting connection must be set up (see setup manual), and then it is necessary to set up customers and products.

A customer can be registered when a booking is made, when it comes through sales channels (automatically), or afterwards. It is also possible to register daily prices or rates directly for specific customers by using a customer code to assign specific price lists.

It is also possible to register a customer in Charges and Payments. There is also an overview of all product lines that are associated with the customer.

Now that the customer is registered with a product in the booking, an invoice can be created. This can be found in the Invoice tab.

To create an invoice, simply click on the Create tab (see screenshot above). You can uncheck “create printed” if the invoice is to be sent to the accounting system as unfinished. Once the invoice has been processed and created in the accounting system, the invoice number will return to Godo Property. It is possible to credit invoices in Godo Property, and this action will be activated after the invoice has been created. In the History tab, you can see all invoice actions that have taken place. If an unprinted invoice is created, it can also be deleted in Godo Property using the Credit tab.

Note that if a payment is recorded for the booking (e.g., through the pay button), that payment will enter the accounting system and connect with the created invoice. It should be noted that a payment must be taken or recorded before the invoice is created.

Now that the invoice has been created in the accounting system, reports can be viewed in Godo Property with an overview of which bookings have invoices and which do not. It is also possible to view reports for each customer individually. These are found in Custom Reports. They can be displayed in Front Desk reports.
