Transactions with Unknown status

Modified on Thu, 28 Nov at 4:22 PM

We started tracking transactions with unknown statuses that might possibly have been processed as charges by the payment processor, but due to technical error or a timeout, this information has not been delivered to us.

An UNCONFIRMED (or unknown) payment transaction is every transaction that has been initiated by our system, but whose further processing state is unclear.

Such a transaction occurs when we do not receive a response from our payment provider, and cannot therefore determine its state.

Those transactions must be confirmed (or dismissed) manually.

This is what the UNKNOWN transaction looks like in Godo Property:

When you click on the highlighted panel, you will get a the window displaying transactions but also a warning with instructions:

You need to verify the transaction in the payment processor's system to know if the charge went through. If yes, you do not need to charge again and you need to add the corresponding payment lines manually. If no, you can retry the charge without worrying about double charging the card.

In order to get rid of the highlighted error, please let us know via [email protected] and we will adjust the booking. Please note, this is just a first phase of this improvement, further additions will limit the amount of manual checking and adding lines.
